They say you can take the girl out of the ocean, but you can’t take the ocean out of the girl.

Having grown up between the iconic shores of Southern California and the sun-drenched Galveston coast, the salt air is practically in my DNA. I’ve spent my life chasing the horizon and living for that effortless coastal vibe—but my professional journey took me deep into the heart of the fashion industry.

20 Years in the Making

Before Salty Chic, I spent over two decades behind the scenes of the fashion world. From the fast-paced floors of major department stores to the design rooms of well-known women’s manufacturers, I learned exactly what goes into a garment. I saw the good, the bad, and the "cookie-cutter."

As my own life transitioned into a more casual, coastal pace, I noticed a frustrating gap in the market. I wanted modern, stylish clothing that fit my lifestyle—and my body—without sacrificing quality. I was tired of "disposable" fashion that lacked soul and solid construction.

A New Chapter: The Gigi Era

Now that my children are grown and I’ve stepped into my favorite role yet—"Gigi"—I’ve decided to return to my first love on my own terms.

Salty Chic is the culmination of 20 years of retail expertise and a lifetime of coastal living. I don't just "stock" clothes; I scour the market to find unique, high-quality pieces that you won't find at the mall. I look for the premium fabrics, the "just right" fit, and the timeless styles that make you feel confident, whether you're at a shoreline brunch or a backyard sunset.
